How does hotel lock work

Hotel lock system is a branch of door access control system, the main difference is no cable network among the doors, hotel lock system also utilize the smart cards (contact card or contactless card) as the key to open the room and transfer the information from door to control PC(usually it is at reception desk), the system uses card reader/writer to download or upload information to the card, with the software on PC, the operator could authorize different types of cards, such as manager cards, cleaner cards, guest cards, floor servant cards etc, and finalize the data of check-in or check-out history, room status to create any history report according to users needs. Later on hotel lock system could be combined with other smart card system, such as car parking system, POS machine, pre-paid card etc, which could offer the biggest conveniences for hotel management.
